GBL Draft Grades

1. Bird Gang - Andrew Felde
Since the Bird Gang had the first pick in the draft, they had the luxury of not having to do much planning. They could've taken anyone they wanted. They decided to go with probably the most reliable option in the draft class. That is a good decision, because they really needed someone who will show up to most of the games and also be a good #2 pitcher behind Nick Trauscht.
Grade: A+

2. Bird Gang (from Lightning) - Cole Felde
Since they just drafted his brother with the pick before, this pick makes a lot of sense. The Bird Gang addressed their pitching in this draft and that should help them contend for a playoff spot.
Grade: B+

3. Taka Drivers - Kyle Lidster
Perfect draft pick. The Taka Drivers usually have 3-4 players every game, so Lidster's limited availability won't be an issue. Being one of the best Griffleball players ever, Lidster will certainly contribute when he can make it to the field. If he is available for playoff or World Series games, the rest of the GBL will be in big trouble.
Grade: A+

4. Ducks On The Pond - Shawn Siokos
Having only two games of GBL experience under his belt, the jury is still out on Shawn. The Ducks On The Pond will probably be a good hitting team, so they will need Shawn to be a serviceable pitcher this year.
Grade: B-

5. GasHouse Gorillas - Zach Muller
The GasHouse Gorillas were surprised that Muller fell to them at #5, so they were happy to take him. He is the only true rookie in the draft, and the GasHouse is excited to have some new faces this year to complement their veteran staples.
Grade: B-
